The rebuilding of Jerusalem and Israel Isaiah 61:4.
Isaiah 61:4 “And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.” Amos 9:14 expresses the same prophecy.
Jesus graphically described to His disciples in the gospels (one place Luke 21) what would happen to Jerusalem (Luke 21:20), that it would be destroyed for a specified period of time which He called, “the times of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24).” Then He proceeded to tell them to notice the fig tree, that when it begin to put forth leaves it would indicate that it was time for Him to come (Luke 21:29-32). Israel is the fig tree putting forth, and Jesus specified that a generation would not pass until all is fulfilled.
Currently a generation of people have been watching as the Lord builds up Israel to receive her Messiah/King, the Christians’ Savior and Lord who will arrive very soon. Luke 21:28 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
