Converging of nations Revelation 17:12, 13
Jesus said in Matthew 24:7 that nations would rise against nations. There is no contradiction here. Though nation rise against nation they become convinced that they should merge. The nations of the earth have been independent for centuries, but on occasions we have seen them unified as scripture confirms. As John viewed the prophetical events of Revelation he saw nothing that could not easily occur. The nations have great admiration for the Beast, and their enemy (the King of Kings), becomes more apparent in His determination to seize the kingdoms of the world (Daniel 7:14). The kings of the earth suppose the only way to defeat the Coming King will be to support the Beast. Revelation 17:13, 14 declare “13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings:” And in Daniel 7:14 we read, “And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”
