Whenever you ask a Christian what biblical love is, two intimate ideas should emerge (which seldom do). The two facts about biblical love are affection and action, or affectionate action if you prefer!1 Neither is appropriate, or biblical, without the other. You cannot express true affection for someone without action, and, to act without affection is not legitimate either if you are guided by true biblical love. Only the expression of both is truly biblical love. This well-developed idea in the bible is often overlooked, and Christians often neglect expressing love as the bible teaches us to express it.
